In the Round of 16, the Russian tennis star faced world No. 92 Mattia Bellucci (Italian), who won in three sets—6:3, 6:7 (6:8), 6:3. The match lasted 2 hours and 53 minutes.
Bellucci's opponent in the quarterfinals will be the winner of the match between world No. 12 Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) and world No. 43 Tallon Griekspoor (Netherlands) in the Round of 16.
The prize fund of ATP Rotterdam is 2.5 million euros.
